Brendan is Chief Economist for KPMG Australia and has been at KPMG for 26 years, and a partner for 19 of those years. He is an Adjunct Professor at Queen Mary University of London in the School of Economics and Finance, and is an Advisory Board member of the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research at the University of Melbourne.
Brendan has significant experience in advising public sector departments and agencies on a range of issues and activities, including econometric analysis, economy-wide modelling, cost benefit analysis, impact assessments, efficiency improvements, and legislative/regulatory reform. Major roles include providing macroeconomic policy advice to the Commonwealth Treasury for both the Henry Tax Review and the Tax White Paper.
Brendan holds a Bachelor and Masters’ degree in economics, a Masters in Applied Finance and a Ph.D from the University of Adelaide.
