Membership Update May 2019
The committee is in discussions with the Geelong Football Club for catering costs for 2019-2020 and members will be advised by June of the increase in dinner fees that will be effective form July.
Members would not be aware that the GFC catering has charged the club a corkage fee of $11 per head for the last 2 years to bring in our own wine for the tables. It is the committee’s opinion that bringing in our own wines provides great quality and variance compared to the standard house wine offered by the in house catering. The committee have absorbed this charge at considerable cost to the club. The Committee will evaluate the new catering rates for 2019-20 and as always try and absorb as much of the real cost for the benefit of members who attend but with an eye on balancing the books.
